Created to showcase and grow the handpan community in the Canary Islands and promote the wonders of our archipelago to all lovers of this magical instrument.
The Canarias Handpan Festival was born with the idea of providing a meeting place for internationally renowned musicians and artists from different performing arts disciplines, offering the opportunity to experience the instrument through workshops and classes of various levels, integrating diverse art forms that complement the special sound that emanates from the handpan. Additionally, it aims to provide the chance to attend live music performances accompanied by artists of various styles.

Learn with the best
This year, the educational program of CHF will feature an elite team: the Handpan Dojo Academy.
We are deeply honored to have one of the international references in learning this instrument, along with a team of super professionals: Amy Naylor, Rosie Bergonzi, Kabeção, Mar Loi, and David K.
They will offer an immersive workshop program that spans three days, delving into a wide range of topics related to our beloved instrument.
Join them for an enriching experience where you will immerse yourself in the art of playing the handpan, engage in hands-on learning, and collaborate with other participants. PROGRAM
A 4-day festival of music and community for the CHF ’26, designed to better meet your needs and make the most of the encounter between incredible teachers and participants.
Four days of handpan classes and workshops to learn, grow, and refine your musical technique with the best teachers from the Handpan Dojo.
Yoga sessions, sound baths, music therapy, macramé, and world dances complete each day — while the evenings bring concerts and performances, music-theatre shows, jam sessions, open mic nights, sound ceremonies, and great company.

What will you find at #CHF26?
MASTER CLASS
Every day, you will have the opportunity to participate in Master Classes with internationally renowned artists such as Mar Loi, David Kuckhermann, Rosie Bergonzi, Amy Naylor, Kabeçao, and many others.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced musician, you will have the chance to practice every day. Each master class will allow you to establish a unique connection with your instrument. We will delve into topics ranging from harmony to improvisation, exploring the most advanced techniques of composition and performance.
What are you waiting for?
Workshop
The world of handpan, 360 degrees. This is the goal of our festival. Not only will you be able to learn new techniques each day to deepen your connection with your instrument, but during the three days, you will also have fun with:
- Yoga classes and meditations
- Engraving on your instrument
- Macramé workshop to create your hand protector (if you have your own material, bring it with you; otherwise, you can purchase the material on-site to participate in the workshop)
- Ecstatic Dance gatherings and many other activities.

Concerts
Inside our magical venue, we will have a space dedicated to live music…
Throughout the 4 days, there will be several opportunities to play together, and in the evenings, we will have live performances and jam sessions at the event location. Through a raffle, you will even have the chance to go up on stage and play with your favorite artists.

The location
The location where the Festival will come to life is a former hostel on the island of Fuerteventura, surrounded by the typical Majorero landscape, with an open and endless horizon towards the ocean.
It is a modern gathering space with a common living area and a commercial kitchen.
The facilities are well-maintained, and the landscape is pristine in a serene environment. There is also a lovely shaded outdoor space.
The facilities have been greatly modernized, with plenty of solar hot water, while preserving the original building and vernacular style.
It is located within a 3-kilometer walking distance from three volcanic calderas and several beaches. It’s an easy bike ride along the cycle path to LaJares, and beautiful bike rides along the coast to Corralejo and El Cotillo.
Accommodation
Throughout the duration of the Festival, participants holding a PREMIUM ticket will have access to shared dormitories (approximately 12–14 beds), designed to rest and recharge between activities.
Accommodation in the dormitories is included exclusively with the PREMIUM ticket.
The dormitories provide only the bed/bunk bed with a mattress.
Each participant must bring their own sleeping bag or bed sheets, as well as their own pillow and pillowcase. Bed linen, blankets, and pillows are not provided.
In the surrounding area of the venue, it is possible to sleep inside your own van, if preferred.
Camping is not permitted, and it is not allowed to set up tents, awnings, tables, chairs, or any kind of camping equipment.
Participants sleeping in vans will not be allowed to use the dormitory showers or facilities, which are reserved exclusively for guests staying in the dormitories.
Capacity is limited. For this reason, whether staying in the dormitories or sleeping in a van, it is mandatory to select the ticket type that best suits your accommodation needs at the time of purchase.
