HANDPAN MUSIC GATHERING In Canary Islands
III EDITION
Created to raise visibility and growth of the handpan community in the Canary Islands and to promote the wonders of our archipelago to all lovers of this magical instrument.
The Canarias Handpan Festival was born with the idea of providing a meeting place for internationally renowned musicians and artists of different performing arts, giving the opportunity to try the instrument through workshops and classes of different levels, integrate with combinations of various arts that are well accompanied by the special sound that comes out of the handpan, and give the possibility to attend live music shows accompanied by artists of various styles.
Three days of music, meetings, activities, workshops, open mic, and concerts. The instrument, which arrived in the Canary Islands a few years ago through its maker, is now getting to know the Canary Islands’ environment and culture.
